Petrina is such a charming little dayboat, which was designed by Alfred Westmacott and built at his yard Woodnutts, Isle of Wight in 1937/38. Alfred/Woodnutts specialised in building small racing dayboats such as Seaview Mermaid, Solent Sunbeam, Victory Class and the very famous X One design.
At just under 25ft (LOA), Petrina offers everything one would need from a day sailor, lifting steel centre plate allows you explore the shallow waters and at low tide able to stay up right using her sea legs, and a small cuddy cabin which can sleep two for overnight trips.
In 2018/19 she was the subject of a refit which saw the hull being stripped back, topsides re-splined, fitting a new lifting centre place, new rigging and new bowsprit.
The current owner comments: ‘Petrina is an extremely solid and very steady and simple sailing vessel and well suited for family outings’
