The Hallberg-Rassy Monsun 31 is a long keel heavy displacement five berth 'blue water' cruising yacht. We are the second owner of the boat. It was built 1974 at Ellös in Sweden. She is a safe sailor in all weathers and move smooth and nice in the sea. Accommodation is for five persons in two compartments.The forward compartment has two single docks in the usual 'V' configuration.The bar has two single settee docks seaport and starboard with one single sea dock just aft of the blueprint desk and to starboard.The forward facing blueprint desk is to starboard at the after end of the bar.The galley is to seaport.
The boat is sloop rigged.
Standing rigging is stainless steel.
All running rigging is in good order..

Glassfibre reinforced plastic (GRP)Fuel tank and floors moulded in GRP. Ballast keel, iron, moulded in 40 mm GRP. Main bulkheads laminated to the hull on both sides. Rudder blade in GRP. Rudder main piece 35mm bronze. Heavy cast rudder fittings in bronze. Hull and deck, with rudder and chain plates etc, are built under the supervision of Lloyd′s for Hull moulding certificate class A, open-ocean vessels.
Deck and superstructure
GRP-sandwich construction with polyvinyl cellular plastic as core material for strength and insulation. Hull and deck completely joined by overlapping GRP laminate. Bulwark formed in the deck and hull mouldings and fitted with a solid capping in teak. Handrails, Cappings on cockpit coamings, Companionway, Hatchguides, Sole and Seats in cockpit are all in solid teak. The deck has a moulded in non-skid surface and is provided with four 1" scuppers draining below water line to avoid discoloured topsides
