Manishi is a beautiful wooden yacht built by E F Elkins in Christchurch in 1936 and was described as a twin screw cutter, however in the 1970’s twin BMC engines were added making her a motor yacht. She is a project which has been started but not finished and would suit somebody with experience of rebuilding wooden boats, she still has lots of her art deco fittings and the engines are both in working condition, her hull doesn’t seem to be too bad as she is still afloat and doesn’t seem to take on too much water. This is a charming wide beam boat that I designed and had built by Trickett boat builders in 2012. She is basically a steel wide beam but much of her is clad in varnished teak so she has a very traditional classic look. Vintage wooden river/canal cruiser. Her name is Esrina ll. Her dimensions are approximately 25 ft long by 8 ft 6 in wide. Believe it is from the late sixties, early seventies. Lots of work done already. Some work still required. Acquired her around two years ago from eBay as a project. Romani is an example of a more unusual flatter bottomed boat. Commissioned in August 8th 1935 first purchased by Denis O’Bryan (solicitor) and named ‘BLUE FLASH’, she was kept at Wargrave from 1947. November 20th 1961 purchased by Air Cdre.
