Description
Romani is an example of a more unusual flatter bottomed boat. Commissioned in August 8th 1935 first purchased by Denis O’Bryan (solicitor) and named ‘BLUE FLASH’, she was kept at Wargrave from 1947. November 20th 1961 purchased by Air Cdre. Bryan David Nicholas (RAF rtd.) who gifted her to his daughter, Diana Nicholas, for her 21st birthday and renamed her ‘ROMANI’.
1971/2 restored by Andrews of Bourne End and maintained by them until 1982.
1982/3 restored by D B Marine of Cookham.
2019 Marlow Boat services February 2022 purchased by Andrews Boathouses who embarked on a comprehensive restoration which is now in the final stages to ensure a concours standard.
