Presented for Sale is RS600 623.
The hull was extensively repaired late last year after a number of years of dry storage. The rigging and sail taken from 957.
New control lines (Dec 2023).
Available with Narrow or Wide wings (one set only)
Halyard is fine, 2:1. Both cleats have had it but my newly engineered boom bolt doubles up as an excellent cleat for securing the halyard.
Superspars Mast, I would say it would probably last at least another year before needing revarnishing.
Boom in generally good condition. Strop eyes moved slightly backwards into new holes and set with quality rivets.
Sail has had a number of professional repairs but in generally good condition for club racing.
Deck hardware is a mix of Allen, Ronstan and Barton. Main sheet block (harken I think) and Spinlock cleat.
Cover - in generally good condition.
Brand new spreader as of December 2023
There are a few jobs I wish to undertake before a sale:
Fit the pro grip to the gunwales (it was too cold and wet when I finished the rigging)
Refurbish the Daggerboard (or sell with a better one)
Splice the kicker cascade
Splice the control lines
Fit fluffy Velcro to top edge of daggerboard case
As a general overview I would say this boat is as good, if not slightly better than my other 600.
Road Base and Trolley. It is a Mersea trolley that would benefit from a bit of work to tidy up. New padding on gunwale hangers would be a good idea and possibly new wheels. The existing solid wheels work fine but the bushes are missing so the wheels wobble a bit.
Inspection by appointment at Burghfield Sailing Club.
